"Left Behind" 19x14.75"Acrylic Painting on Glass March 2023 FOR SALE $85.00 I’m always intrigued by the appearance of abandoned barns and farm equipment. At what point did the people decide to just walk away from these beautiful, once-useful, things? I’m reminded of the old barn on the farm in which I grew up. It was so stately and classic. Unfortunately, after probably 100 years of service under a few different farmers, it, too, had to come down. I kind of wish it was still there, in a sense abandoned and useless, but serving as an amazing landmark and memory. I also love the old machinery. I’m grateful that I’m old enough to remember those times and to have witnessed the transformation of farming since those precious times. And, by the way, here are two pictures are of the original barn on my family's farm. It, too, went through a couple of transformations!
