This is the third of my most recent paintings that has a wine glass in it. It felt like a progression to me, as I worked through the three paintings. The first one, "To Life", was definitely an affirmation of life, but of necessity, it required at least another person to raise that toast. So, in effect, it also was a connection to another human being. The second, "Sunset Serenade" had more of an existential feeling to me and a connection to the world around us. This one, "Love Your Self", is probably self-explanatory in that it conveys a deep sense of peace, acceptance and charity toward one's self.
